Mollart Engineering (Chessington) Welcomes New Apprentice Ellis Vincent

Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers

At Mollart Engineering, we've always been committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers and nurturing new talent through our apprenticeship scheme. Our legacy in manufacturing and deep hole drilling is a point of pride, and it’s a legacy we’re determined to see thrive.

Only recently at Mollart Engineering Chessington, we were delighted to welcome our newest apprentice, Ellis Vincent to the team.  After a highly competitive selection process, Ellis stood out from a strong pool of candidates with his enthusiasm, problem-solving skills, and drive to learn.

Why Choose an Engineering Apprenticeship

We caught up with Ellis to hear more about his aspirations and why he chose Mollart Engineering.

1. Why engineering?

“Having family members in civil and electrical engineering showed me the problem-solving and teamwork skills that engineers need – and that really reflects who I am. I’m a hands-on person with a creative mindset, so this career path felt like the perfect fit.”

  2. Why Mollart Engineering’s apprenticeship scheme?

“Mollart stood out to me because of its history of creating its own tools and machines. That level of expertise really impressed me. From the start, the team was supportive and welcoming, which confirmed this was the right place to begin my career.”

3.   What are you looking forward to most?

“I can’t wait to gain practical, hands-on experience and develop my skills across different areas of manufacturing. I’m also excited to find out which discipline I’ll enjoy most – whether that’s milling, turning, deep hole drilling, or multi-axis machining.”

 4.  Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

“In 10 years, I want to be fully qualified in manufacturing and helping Mollart continue to progress into the future. I’d also love to inspire and support future apprentices, just as I’ve been supported.”

The Future of Engineering

Ellis’s passion and determination highlight why apprenticeships are so important to the future of engineering. Our aim is to provide all our apprentices with the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to be able to become top-class precision engineers.  That’s why we are excited to support Ellis on this journey and look forward to seeing him grow with us.

Applications for our 2026 apprenticeship scheme will open in July 2026.
