Charity Golf Day for Prostate Cymru

On the 18th of July Mollart Engineering (Resolven) entered a four ball golf team into the annual Prostate Cymru Charity Golf Day at Maesteg Golf Club. The day went really well and was far more than a perfect swing, it was an event dedicated to raising funds for the Prostate Cymru Charity.

Prostate Cymru is the leading prostate health charity in Wales, dedicated to supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. The charity has no national or government funding and relies on volunteers and fund raisers for support. Considering approximately 1 in 8 men in Wales are diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, we felt it was an organisation that was well worth supporting. 

On The Day

The day went really well, on arrival golfers were provided with refreshments and took part in a number of small fundraising activities, such as guessing the number of tees in a jar, and the number of balls lost during the day. Unfortunately, the Mollart Resolven team did not win any prizes for the golf, but all funds raised will go towards helping Prostate Cymru to continue their work raising awareness and supporting research into Prostate Cancer in Wales.
