Central to our commitment to excellence is our investment in cutting-edge technology. Exemplified by the continued expansion and growth at Mollart Engineering’s Subcontract Precision Machining and Electro-Mechanical Assembly facility in Resolven, Neath, South Wales. As part of this expansion, we now have in production a new Yamazaki Mazak VTC800 Vertical Machining Centre.
The new investment was made in response to the continued increase in demand associated with our services to the semi-conductor sector, although the machine has wider applications for customers in every industry that Mollart Engineering currently serves.
This latest Mazak 5 Axis Machine is one of four of its kind which are all housed in a specialist machining cell and is now operating on a double shift system to increase capacity and to meet customer demand.
The Yamazaki VTC800 like other Mazak vertical machines are renowned for outstanding productivity and reliability. Our investment in these machines reinforces our dedication to delivering superior quality and performance to our valued customers. Plus, the new addition further enhances our capabilities and increases productivity levels.
The machine is highly versatile with 3 meters of X-axis and 800 mm Y-axis travel. It also has a swivelling head that provides B-axis movement for reduced set-up times with the rotary table, allowing full simultaneous 5-axis machining of complex features and contours for further enhanced productivity
This additional machine adds a further world class machine to the portfolio of machining capabilities at the South Wales site of Mollart Engineering, taking our Subcontract Precision Machining offering to new heights.
