Mollart Workshops - Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers

Southborough College - Introduction to Engineering

Mollart Engineering had the privilege to host a group of A level students from Southborough College at our Chessington site recently for an Introduction to Engineering workshop and facility tour.

The workshop was led by subcontract production engineer Callum Hookway and James Morrison, who over the course of the afternoon introduced the students to Mollart’s style of engineering and our processes, this included 5-Axis Machining, Deep Hole Drilling, Inspection, and everything in between.

The feedback from Southborough College was much appreciated, they commented that:

“It was a very memorable experience and fascinating being able to see the entire process from start to finish. It was also lovely to see an establishment with so many employees passionate about engineering. I know it has given the students a lot to think about going forward.”

Mollart Apprenticeship Scheme

By helping to inspire the next generation of young engineers, Mollart continues to help shape the future of the local community and UK manufacturing. We actively encourage young people from all backgrounds to consider engineering as a career and we do this through our educational initiatives like workshops which enable young people to have the opportunity to experience engineering first-hand. We also have a long-standing history of investing in the future of highly skilled engineers through our apprenticeship scheme, and those trained by Mollart are some of the best in the sector!
