MOLLART EXHIBITS ITS SPECIALISM IN DEEPHOLE DRILLING MACHINES, PRECISION MACHINING AND TOOLING SOLUTIONS AT THE INDIAN MACHINE TOOL EXHIBITION (IMTEX) 2019.
We are pleased to announce Mollart Engineering is exhibiting at IMTEX 2019, which is held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, from 24th to 30th January. As an International UK business, we always like to take the opportunity to exhibit our wide range of products to a global audience and to be able to demonstrate our unique multi-discipline offering of deep hole drilling machines, subcontract precision machining and tooling solutions.
Mollart As A Successful Global Exhibitor
Director Ian Petitt commented: “Exhibiting at the large exhibitions across the globe has always been important but also very successful for Mollart. Two years ago at a global exhibition we won an order from Mexico for a 4-spindle Omnisprint gundrill for producing cast iron bottle moulds that increased drill penetration rates for the company by 500 per cent. So successful was the process that last year they ordered a second machine”. We have attended previous shows which have resulted in orders exceeding $10 million being placed by a North American automotive customer for design and building special purpose 4- and 6-spindle gundrilling machines to produce oil galleries in transmission shafts.
World Leader In Special Purpose Deep Hole Gundrilling
Mollart Engineering is regarded as a world leader in special purpose deep hole gundrilling machines used in multiple sectors including, pellet die food and biomass industries, automotive, mould, oil & gas and medical. We have a very strong and experienced team in deep hole drilling technology, this has led to well over 95 per cent of the 1,000 machines built being exported. Also Mollart’s pellet die drilling expertise, has resulted in the supply of machinery that can produce up to 200,000 individual holes in heat-treated die steel components weighing up to 2.5 tons and range in size up to 1,500 mm diameter, with wall thickness up to 150 mm
Mollart's Deep Hole Drilling Concept
The proven Mollart modular deep hole drilling concept, with dedicated bespoke application engineering and when required, automation and specialist software, involves precise control of the various synchronous axes, plus radial positioning of gundrill spindles that are set around a centre indexing table that supports the tubular die components. The table is also programmable for rise and fall, in order to create multiple layers of close-pitched holes.
The machine is a ‘lights-out’ configuration requiring minimum human intervention. All spindles work on the same row of holes to ensure high orders of efficiency and machine utilization. Mollart has also designed and built a highly efficient coolant system, to complement the production prowess of the machine.
Process Driven Solutions
Some of our other core disciplines will also be demonstrated at the show, which includes subcontract precision machining capabilities and tailored tooling solutions. We offer a process driven solution to complex machining in respect of a variety of material types for the main industry sectors. This will be demonstrated by exhibiting a wide range of components typical of those produced at its Chessington, Surrey and South Wales Resolven sites.
Amongst the tooling being presented at the show will be a range of Botek deep hole drills covering micro-drills, gundrills, BTA, and ejector series plus tooling, much allied to specialist solution type operational applications, from the Bencere, Ecoroll and Elliott ranges of roller burnishing, grooving, spotfacing and deburring tooling.
